Skeleton of Religious Art o
Skeleton of Religious Art o is a ritual performance developed in collaboration with vice head priest Dōshu Tokumoto at Ryokakuji Temple. Rooted in a traditional Shinshū Buddhist service, the work brings together shōmyō, electronic sound, and live composition within a contemporary performance framework. Centered on a musical translation of the Shōshinge and structured through the form of Sajō, the piece does not reproduce ritual as heritage, but reconfigures it as a living sonic event. Through chant, resonance, and intervention, the performance creates a listening condition in which ceremony, memory, and sound become inseparable.
